ABUJA, Nigeria – The Universal Basic Education Commission pledges deeper collaboration with Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board to enhance access, quality and service delivery in basic education.
The commitment follows a high-level visit by the Bauchi SUBEB chairman to UBEC headquarters, where both institutions align strategies to tackle challenges in the education sector.
UBEC’s Executive Secretary emphasises the importance of effective implementation of ongoing programmes, noting that stronger coordination is critical to improving outcomes for children.
“I look forward to continued collaboration as we strive to improve learning outcomes and expand opportunities for every child,” he says, reaffirming the Commission’s readiness to support Bauchi State.
Discussions centre on expanding access to education, strengthening teaching quality and improving infrastructure across schools in the state.
Officials say the engagement reflects a shared commitment to delivering measurable impact, with both sides expressing optimism that enhanced synergy will accelerate progress in the basic education sub-sector.
Education stakeholders note that sustained federal-state collaboration remains key to addressing gaps in enrolment, retention and learning outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.
The partnership signals renewed efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s foundational education system through coordinated policy implementation and targeted interventions.
