KADUNA, Nigeria – Police in Kaduna State deploy tactical teams and intelligence units across strategic locations to secure Easter celebrations and prevent security breaches.
Commissioner of Police Rabi’u Muhammad confirms the operation, describing it as a coordinated effort to protect lives and property before, during and after the holiday.
“The safety of citizens remains a top priority,” Muhammad says, assuring residents of sustained security presence throughout the festive period.
Authorities prioritise worship centres and public gathering points, citing increased risks linked to large religious events.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
“The command urges the public to support ongoing efforts by providing timely information,” Muhammad says.
He also extends goodwill to Christian faithful, expressing confidence in a peaceful celebration.
Security analysts note that proactive deployments have become critical in managing seasonal risks, particularly in regions facing persistent security challenges.
The police say patrols, surveillance and rapid-response teams will remain active throughout the Easter period.
