LOKOJA, Nigeria – The National Association of Resident Doctors backs new leadership at Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, welcoming staff reinstatement as a breakthrough in resolving a prolonged dispute.
The association expresses confidence in newly appointed Chief Medical Director Shehu Abdulrahman, describing his leadership as pivotal to restoring stability.
At a reception held on March 30, NARD President Mohammad Usman Suleiman praised the CMD’s early actions, including the completion of reinstatement for previously dismissed staff.
“The development marks a major breakthrough and signals a new chapter for the institution,” the association says in a statement signed by Abdulmajid Ibrahim.
Officials confirm that all affected workers are being reinstated, with salary payments and outstanding entitlements already underway for some.
