LAGOS, Nigeria – The Dangote Petroleum Refinery expands its regional footprint, recording the sale of 12 cargoes totalling 456,000 tonnes of refined petroleum products to African markets.
According to the refinery on Sunday, the shipments—destined for countries including Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Cameroon—mark a significant milestone following its ramp-up to 650,000 barrels per day capacity.
The products, sold on a Free On-Board basis, highlight the refinery’s growing export capability and its role in meeting both domestic and regional fuel demand.
“It demonstrates our capacity to supply high-quality Euro 5 fuels to underserved markets,” the company says.
The refinery adds that increased regional supply will enhance energy security, reduce logistics delays, and lower fuel costs across West and Central Africa.
Analysts note that the development strengthens Nigeria’s position as a key energy hub on the continent.
