KEBBI, Nigeria – In a tragic case highlighting domestic violence in rural Kebbi State, police have apprehended a 30-year-old man accused of fatally assaulting his young wife during what authorities describe as a heated marital argument.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Bayawa Village, Augie Local Government Area, where Suleman Mamuda allegedly used a hoe to strike his 25-year-old wife, Umaima Maidawa, leading to her death at the scene in their matrimonial home.
