Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq
KWARA, Nigeria – Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a N50,000 cash incentive for each National Youth Service Corps member serving in the state.
The governor announced the support on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch C Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
The incentive is intended to support the corps members as they begin their mandatory one-year national service in the state, according to the governor’s spokesman, Ibraheem Abdullateef in a statement.
The support comes as corps members begin settling into their places of primary assignment and community development activities across Kwara.
The NYSC scheme deploys Nigerian graduates across states outside their usual places of residence as part of efforts to promote national integration, skills development and community service.
The governor urged the corps members to approach their service year with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
