JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina
ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving customer service, with Registrar Prof. Segun Aina promising reforms aimed at making the examination body’s services more responsive, efficient and candidate focused.
Aina made the pledge during his maiden official visit to several JAMB outstation offices on Friday, where he met members of staff, assessed operations and discussed challenges affecting service delivery.
According to a statement issued by the Board’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the registrar said improving the experience of candidates would remain a priority under his administration.
He assured staff that management would continue investing in technology, innovation and institutional reforms designed to strengthen the Board’s operations.
“The Board will continue to deploy deliberate strategies, innovative initiatives and appropriate technologies aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing the overall experience of its candidates,” Aina said.
He stressed that customer-oriented service remains central to JAMB’s mandate and pledged to provide staff with the training, equipment and institutional support needed to perform their duties effectively.
Aina also urged employees to embrace teamwork, professionalism and adaptability as the Board responds to the evolving expectations of candidates, particularly members of Generation Z, who make up a significant proportion of JAMB’s clientele.
“We must all come together to build trust and reduce trauma,” he said.
The registrar said every interaction between staff and candidates presents an opportunity to strengthen public confidence in JAMB’s examination and admission processes.
He encouraged officials to remain courteous, solution-driven and responsive while handling enquiries and resolving complaints.
Staff members who received the registrar congratulated him on his appointment and expressed optimism that his leadership would strengthen the relationship between management and employees.
