LAGOS, Nigeria – Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has commissioned a 40-bed Primary Health Centre in Oke Lisa community to improve access to quality healthcare services and strengthen primary healthcare delivery in the area.
Speaking during the inauguration on Tuesday, Ayodele described the health centre as a major investment in community wellbeing and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding access to affordable healthcare.
“This is not just a building; it is a commitment to ensuring that our people have access to quality and affordable healthcare services,” he said.
The chairman disclosed that the facility would be fenced before the end of the year to enhance security, adding that the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Adegoke Benson, had pledged to facilitate the construction of a four-kilometre road linking Igbokuta Junction to Igbalu.
The health centre is equipped with male and female wards, a paediatric ward, laboratory, labour theatre, constant water supply, security facilities and a Mikano power generating set to ensure uninterrupted services.
The facility will operate 24 hours daily, providing maternal and child healthcare, routine immunisation, family planning, laboratory services, health education, free medical outreaches and enrolment into the ILERA EKO health insurance scheme.
