The Office of Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals has commissioned a newly built 20-bed primary health centre and renovated an existing one in Isokun, Oyo West, Oyo State.

This initiative aligns with the federal government’s efforts to enhance healthcare access, supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs, emphasized the importance of addressing multidimensional poverty through basic healthcare, vocational skills development, and education on Tuesday at the event.

She thanked President Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to collaborating with sub-national governments.

Oyo Central Senator, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, who facilitated the project, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and OSSAP-SDGs for selecting his constituency.

He described the primary health centre as the largest in Oyo State, highlighting the state’s commitment to utilizing the facility to reduce the need for residents to seek medical treatment elsewhere.
