The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reports that 113 media organizations have submitted the credentials of 865 journalists for the upcoming Edo gubernatorial elections.
In a statement released on Wednesday, INEC reminded all interested media entities that the accreditation portal will close at midnight on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
The commission emphasised that this deadline is final, with no extensions permitted. Media organizations that fail to meet the deadline will be barred from observing the voting process or result collation at election centers.
