Kano Gov’s SA Dies Day After Swearing-In

Kano State is in mourning following the untimely death of Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Works to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday in Egypt, just a day after his swearing-in. The devastating news was announced through a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, who expressed the administration’s profound grief over the loss.

Governor Yusuf, in a heartfelt condolence message, described Engr. Bunkure’s death as an irreplaceable loss not only to Kano State but also to his family and the political community at large. He praised the late adviser for his professionalism and dedication, emphasizing the critical role Bunkure was expected to play in advancing the administration’s developmental agenda. “This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government.
