NEMA Distributes Relief Materials to Kaduna Flood Victims

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has come to the aid of flood-affected communities in Kaduna South Local Government Area, distributing vital relief materials to alleviate their suffering.

According to a post from NEMA’s X handle on Monday, the effort, Led by Zonal Coordinator Imam Garki Abbani, targeted three communities: Tudun Nupawa, Tudun Wada, and Anguwar Mu’azu.

The relief material distributed include food items: rice, maize, vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, salt, spaghetti, tomato paste, and beverages, non-food items: clothing for men, women, and children, bath towels, building materials: cement, roofing sheets, zinc nails, 3-inch nails

Hon. Hussaini Mai-Kero, who facilitated the approval of the relief materials, expressed gratitude to NEMA and its Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, for their prompt response to the disaster. “NEMA’s support is crucial in aiding the recovery process for the affected communities,” he emphasized.

Imam Garki Abbani extended the Director General’s regards and sympathies to the victims, acknowledging that while the relief items provide vital support, they cannot fully compensate for the losses caused by the flood.

Community leaders from the three areas thanked the Federal Government, NEMA, Hon. Mai-Kero, and all contributors to the assistance, expressing heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries.
