The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, has emphasized the importance of core values and integrity in building a successful career.
According to a post from the ICPC Nigeria’s X Handle Monday, while addressing the Commission’s Armed Squad, during the inaugural ceremony of the 110 trainees of the ICPC armed squared at 117 Guard Battalion, Nigerian Army, Keffi, represented by the Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu, DSSRS, Dr. Aliyu described the training as “transformational” and encouraged the trainees to cultivate courage, resilience, and integrity.
Dr. Aliyu also commended the long-standing collaboration between the Nigerian Army and ICPC. He noted, “Your skills, experience, and mentorship are invaluable…”
Brigade Commander, Guards Brigade, Brig. General A.O Onasanya, also praised the ICPC’s initiative, stating that the trainees would be tested to their limits to ensure they possess necessary skills and confidence to bear arms.
The primary objective of the training, according to Lt. Col. A.B Inuwa, Commanding Officer of the 177 Guards Battalion, is to equip trainees with technical firearms proficiency and leadership skills. Inuwa reiterated the existing partnership between ICPC and Nigerian Army, demonstrating their shared resolve to build a security force capable of handling threats with professional skills.
