The World Bank Group (WBG) has announced its plan to support 1.5 Billion people across all countries in delivering quality and affordable health services from infantry to Adulthood.
This was confirmed in a press statement on the group website on 18th April stating its plan to reach all groups irrespective of their geographical location.
“Providing a basic standard of care for people throughout their lives is critical for development,
“This ambition won’t be realized with a solo effort. It will require partners, a coalition of public and private sector, working together to expand access to health care services” said Ajay Banga, WBG President.
WBG emphasized on adequate partnerships such as, private sectors, non-governmental organizations and civil societies to achieve this needed result in health while lauding Japan’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) launch.
