The 12 year old boy whose small intestine went missing in Lagos, Akin-Bright, is dead.
According to the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Akin-Bright died on Tuesday evening hours after the speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa and some members visited him at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja where he was receiving treatment.
The assembly had yesterday urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to release funds for the treatment of Akin-Bright abroad.
Sanwo-Olu had previously assured that his government will investigate events that led to the missing intestine and promised to support him to get proper treatment.
