Sanwo-Olu Marks Lagos Blue Line Anniversary With 50% Fare Slash

LAGOS, Nigeria – Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has celebrated the second anniversary of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line, calling it a landmark in the state’s transport system.

He in a statement on Wednesday said the service has carried more than five million passengers safely in two years, running 90 trips daily without an accident.

“Journeys are now faster, safer, and easier,” Sanwo-Olu said, adding that the Blue Line proves the power of collaboration.

To mark the milestone, fares will be halved on Thursday, September 4. 

He urged residents to try the system and pledged continued investment in safe, efficient transport.
