The Take It Back Movement has strongly condemned the detention of Omoyele Sowore at Murtala Muhammed Airport, calling it a “reprehensible act” by the Tinubu regime. The movement described the incident as a direct assault on the basic rights of Nigerian citizens seeking justice and democratic freedoms.
In a press statement released on Monday and signed by Chidi Nwayanwu, Director of Communications, the movement warned the government to halt its oppressive tactics against human rights activists and Nigerians.
The statement stressed that the government’s responsibility is to protect citizens’ rights and freedoms, not silence them through fear and intimidation.
The Take It Back Movement expressed solidarity with those fighting for justice and equality, committing to hold the government accountable.
