The Kogi State Government has affirmed its commitment to prioritize human capital development through interventions in health and education.
The governor’s Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Ismail Isah, issued a statement in Lokoja, the state capital, on Thursday.
The statement mentioned that Ododo was in Abuja to update President Bola Tinubu on the situation in Kogi State.
During the meeting, the governor emphasized the agricultural initiatives of his administration, such as the farmer census conducted across all 21 Local Government Areas in the state.
He also shared his plans to kickstart the revitalization of 63 Primary Healthcare Centres in the state, emphasizing his focus on human capital development through investments in healthcare and education as the key priorities of his tenure as Governor of Kogi State.
Ododo mentioned that more than 200 tractors have been restored and are being used at the start of the new farming season to assist farmers in cultivating various crops. Additionally, over 7,000 hectares of farmland have been prepared for planting, all in efforts to guarantee food security in the state.
He also updated the President on the recent security situations in the state.
President Tinubu promised to fully support the Governor in his efforts to effectively govern the state.
Ododo updated the President on his administration’s dedication to completing all ongoing infrastructure projects in the state, including the Zone 8 Junction road and Crusher road, as well as multiple projects in educational institutions.
