FG, Egypt to Collaborate In Water Resources, Food Production

The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, has said the Nigerian government is eager to partner with Egyptian Government in critical areas of water resources, food production, and sanitation.

This is according to the Head, Press and Public Relations Unit of the ministry, Mrs. Imuetinyan Funmi, in a press statement.

Utsev, the statement said, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to his office the Egyptian Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Moustafa Awad,  in Abuja.

He underscored the determination of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to ensure the success of its ‘Food Security Mandate’ and ‘Renewed Hope Agenda,’ and the pivotal role of water resources in achieving food security and overall economic stability.

In his remarks, the Minister of State, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, ememphasised the vast potentials for mutual benefits in this collaboration, especially in ensuring food security, given the extensive land areas of both nations.
