As Nigerians celebrate the 2023 Democracy Day, an Ebonyi State entrepreneur and community leader, Prince Chukwudi Asudeogu, has used the occasion to hail his State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, describing him as an advocate of good governance.
Asudeogu, in a statement signed by Udemba Udemba, also described Nwifuru’s 12 days in office as Executive Governor of Ebonyi State as a blessing to “Mdi Ebonyi.”
According to him, the governor has distinguished himself as a true democrat, which has reflected in his actions towards fulfilling the promises made to the good people of Ebonyi State during his campaign.
He expressed satisfaction towards his remarkable impact within his few days in office, adding that such actions are fulfilling and geared towards making life easier for the people.
“Within the first 7 days in office, there has been intrepid approach to resolving security challenges facing the state, bold and expedient move on primary health care such as immediate recruitment of over 200 health personnels specifically for the health centres across the 13 local government areas.
“He has laid open emergency response plan on the primary & tertiary education sector and also declaring his absolute willingness to make Ebonyi a place for robust commercial and business activities, revamped the civil service system and renew their hope. Indeed, all these reflects his manifesto of the people’s charter of needs,” he said.
Asudeogu noted in the statement that “it takes only a democrat who understands that the government belongs to the people to engage with people-oriented projects like this,” adding that the governor has reaffirmed his commitment towards having a united and progressive Ebonyi.
Meanwhile, the entrepreneur has also expressed satisfaction and gratitude to the governor for engaging the youths and women in active roles of governances, urging him not to relent.
Asudeogu, who made remarks over the weekend, while addressing journalists at Eagle Square, Abuja, also congratulated all Ebonyi National and State Assembly members, urging them to work harmoniously with the executive governor to enable a more prosperous and developed Ebonyi State.
