The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has suspended Omangima Idomiboye-Obu Harry and Dr. Hough Gwandue, who were chairmen of Rivers and Benue states chapters of the party respectively.

The YPP National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Egbeola Wale Martins, said this on Sunday in Abuja.

According to him, the suspension of the duo become imperative in order to quickly stem the act of crass indiscipline where those put in the position of trust abuse the same without regard for the sanctity of the party.

“Endorsing candidates of other political parties without recourse to the appropriate leadership organs of the party is an affront that must be repelled with every ferocious audacity; else it spreads like a cancer.

“The YPP is not a merchandise to be traded at will by political merchants parading themselves as leaders whether at the national or component levels as such an act of irresponsibility will be strongly resisted.

“Their suspension takes immediate effect, hence they have lost all rights to carry out all activities on behalf of the party at their respective states,” Martins said.
