World’s First Tooth Regrowing Drugs Approved for Human Trials

The world’s first tooth regrowing drugs has now been approved for human trials which will help those with absence or loss of a tooth or teeth.

The drugs first human trial is set to commence in August to September 2025 and will treat 30 males aged from 30 to 64 years at Kitano hospital in Japan who are missing at least one molar.

Katsu Takahashi, the head of dentistry and oral surgery at Kitano Hospital and his team are behind a groundbreaking drug that can regenerate teeth in order to help those suffering from tooth loss,

“We want to do something to help those who are suffering from tooth loss or absence,” said lead researcher Katsu Takahashi, head of dentistry and oral surgery at Kitano Hospital. “While there has been no treatment to date providing a permanent cure, we feel that people’s expectations for tooth growth are high.”
