African Development Bank Group (ADBG) and the Global Center on Adaption (ACA) have moved to create partnership for Water and Urban Development Program
This is confirmed by African Health Report (AHR) in a Webinar showcase by the bank’s partnership with the GCA on Water and Urban Development Program on 30th of April
Joep Verhagen, A GCA Global leader for water and Urban Development present an overview of how climate changes affect water quality and availability and solutions must be tailored to proposed project interventions and local context.
“Climate change impacts the water sector through rising sea levels, floods, droughts, and water quality issues, hindering access, availability, and sanitation services. These disruptions threaten water and food security, economic growth, and stability, with the potential to displace millions by 2030”.
