The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has revealed the date for its first-ever free computer-based mock examination for the 2024 West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates.

The mock examination is scheduled to take place on January 23rd and 24th, 2024.

The announcement was made by the Acting Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, in a statement signed by her and released on the official WAEC website.

Adesina stated that the mock examination is open to all prospective candidates. Stating, “Candidates will need to log on to the mock examination portal, mockcbt.waec.org.ng, using their mobile phones or personal computers to take the examination.

“The portal will be accessible throughout the two days of the mock examination. In the event of any technical issues or failures, candidates will be given a second attempt to access the mock examination page.

“Once registration for the mock examination is closed, candidates will receive login details via their respective email addresses and phone numbers. Additionally, a tutorial video demonstrating how to use the examination portal will be made available on all WAEC’s social media platforms.”

This free mock computer-based examination aims to provide candidates with a wonderful experience and familiarize them with the format of the actual WASSCE.
