President Bola Tinubu has renamed the University of Maiduguri as Muhammadu Buhari University in honour of his late predecessor.
According to a statement by the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Thursday, the announcement was made during a special tribute session of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, held to honour the late president.
“President Tinubu renames University of Maiduguri as Muhammadu Buhari University. President Tinubu announced the honour at the session of tributes of the Federal Executive Council to his late predecessor” the statement read.
