In a bold move, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to President Bola Tinubu to address the plight of “hungry, malnourished minors” in Nigeria.

The announcement was made in a statement on SERAP’s official X account on Sunday morning, emphasizing the urgent need for government intervention.

SERAP, a prominent advocacy group focused on socio-economic rights, is calling for the immediate release and proper care of these vulnerable children.

The organization accuses the government of failing to protect the rights of minors, highlighting the increasing rates of malnutrition and food insecurity across the country.

“The government has a responsibility to safeguard the well-being of its citizens, especially the most vulnerable among us,” the statement read. SERAP’s call to action underscores the growing discontent regarding governance and social welfare issues in Nigeria.

As the deadline approaches, pressure mounts on President Tinubu to respond to the urgent demands of SERAP and address the ongoing crisis facing children in the nation.
