Easter: Arase Urges Sacrifice for New Nigeria

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), retired IGP, Dr. Solomon Arase, has called for national rebirth in the face of the current economic and security challenges.

In a statement made available to Africa Health Report, (AHR) by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the commission, Ikechukwu Ani, on Friday, Arase emphasised the need for unity and sacrifice during the Easter celebrations.

“As Christians all over the world observe and celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, Dr Arase called for national rebirth in the face of the current economic and security challenges,” the statement read.

Arase urged Christians to pray for a new Nigeria and support the government’s efforts to ensure the security of lives and properties across the nation.

He emphasised the importance of reflecting on what unites the country and called for patriotism and sacrifice, drawing parallels to Christ’s sacrifice for the redemption of mankind.

“Let’s use this time to reflect on what binds us together rather than those things that divide us,” Arase stated.

He also called on the staff of the Commission and members of the Nigeria Police Force to rededicate themselves to the service of the country, expressing hope for a new beginning of happiness, prosperity, and abundance.
