The Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote, has emphasised that digital birth and National Identification Number (NIN) registration will significantly improve access to education, healthcare, and other social benefits for all Nigerians.
In a statement issued by Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communication, on Saturday, Coker-Odusote highlighted the national significance of birth registration. “Birth registration is not only important for the individual; it is also crucial for the development of the nation,” she said.
Coker-Odusote’s remarks underscore the collaborative effort between the National Identity Management Commission and the National Population Commission (NPC) to advance digital birth registration.
