The Benue State Governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has pledged to enhance the overall health sector in the state and discourage the trend of health tourism to other countries.
Speaking at the signing of Memorandums of Understandings with Shanghai Haitian Hospital and Sinoki System Limited, Governor Alia expressed his determination to improve healthcare in the state.
“We are determined to improve the overall health sector in the state, thereby discouraging the trend of health tourism to other countries,” Governor Alia stated.
The partnership with Shanghai Haitian Hospital aims to facilitate academic and clinical interchange between Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), focusing on joint studies, training activities, and other educational exchanges of mutual interest. This collaboration is expected to bring about significant improvements in the healthcare system of the state.
The government has also entered into a partnership with Sinoki System Limited for the establishment of a Hybrid Solar Panel Factory in the state. Governor Alia expressed optimism that these partnerships will attract more investments to the state, creating opportunities for economic growth and development.
“We are optimistic that the partnerships will open many more doors of investments in the state,” Governor Alia said, emphasising the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in Benue State.
He called for more investors to take advantage of the untapped investment opportunities in the state, assuring them of the government’s support in their endeavors.
