African Development Bank Group Sets to Commit $2m to Clean Cooking

African Development Bank Group (ADBG) is set to Commit $2million USD to clean cooking in Africa

This is confirmed by the official X platform of the African Development Bank Group (ADBG) President, Mr.Akinwumi Adeshina on Tuesday.

“I’m pleased to announce to you today that @AfDB_Group will commit $2 billion to #CleanCooking  over the next 10 years”

Prior to this, Africa Health Report (AHR) has reported on how a 35 years old woman in Benue State and many Nigerian women with respiratory complications traditional cooking methods.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “indoor air pollution is responsible for approximately 95,000 deaths in Nigeria annually, with women and children being the most affected. If a woman cooks breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it is equivalent to smoking between three and 20 packets of cigarettes a day.”
