A two storey building has collapsed in Ebute Metta area of Lagos State, leaving two people dead and three more feared trapped in the rubble.
The Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, made this known in a statement on Friday.
According to him, the incident happened at about 9.30 am on Friday.
He disclosed that “the Lagos Building Control Agency had issued several evacuation notices for the occupants of the building to move out.
“It is suspected that a woman illegally occupying is trapped, though it is suspected that there could be an additional two people along with her but no one could confirm that, except the woman only.”
