The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) has reaffirmed its support for the hospital’s management under the leadership of Chief Medical Director, Professor Chizindu Alikor.
In a statement issued on Sunday, RSUTH said the courtesy visit by the ARD delegation was led by its President, Dr Nonju Tamunobarabiye, who commended Professor Alikor for what he described as “exemplary leadership” that has driven infrastructural improvements, enhanced patient outcomes, and facilitated the recruitment of additional medical personnel.
“The ARD remains committed to working with the hospital management to ensure RSUTH achieves greater heights in healthcare delivery,” Dr Tamunobarabiye said. He added that the visit provided an opportunity to discuss residency training, staff welfare, and ways to strengthen collaboration.
Receiving the delegation, Professor Alikor expressed appreciation for the doctors’ dedication and professionalism. “I urge you to remain steadfast in your commitment to excellence as we continue to reposition RSUTH for quality service delivery,” he said.
The hospital noted that the visit underscored the importance of strong partnerships in its pursuit of growth and excellence.
