Families Mourn as Fatal Auto Accident Kills 5 Members in Kano

A fatal road accident has claims five lives in Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano State on Sunday, leaving a family and the entire community in mourning.

News men gathered that the victims were returning from Bauchi after escorting a newlywed bride to her marital home when their vehicle crashed near Shantake, about seven kilometers from Danbatta town.

Our correspondent learnt that the deceased included two children of Alhaji Surajo and three children of his younger brother, Alhaji Salisu Dan Raino.

In a statement issued on Monday, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, described the incident as a devastating loss.

His spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, signed the statement on behalf of the governor.

“This tragedy has deeply touched us all. The pain of losing loved ones in such a horrific manner is unimaginable,” Governor Yusuf stated. “On behalf of the government and people of Kano State, I extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to the affected families, the Danbatta Local Government Chairman, and the entire community.”

The governor prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and give their families the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

He also assured the Danbatta community of the state government’s support during this difficult time.

Authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of the accident as investigations are ongoing.
