JAMB Delists 4 CBT Centres, Arrests 27 Suspected Impersonators

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted four Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for failing to meet technical and ethical standards required for the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to a statement released by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, on Friday, the affected centres include Adventure Associate and Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education in Kano, as well as two centres operated by Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd in Sokoto State.

JAMB also announced the arrest of 27 impersonators who were handed over to the police for prosecution. The Board warned that any centre falling short of its strict operational standards would face similar sanctions, regardless of ownership.

Also, the Board addressed a case at Caleb University where candidates wearing hijabs were initially restricted. The incident, traced to an overzealous security officer, was swiftly resolved after intervention by the university management, with apologies issued to affected candidates.
