The management of the Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele, has confirmed that 75 students of the institution have benefited from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
The college’s provost, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi made this known in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade during a management meeting held at the college premises in Ibadan. She revealed that out of 78 students who applied, 75 successfully received the loan, which covered their full tuition fees.
“This is to inform the college that we received the loan funds for 75 students yesterday,” Owolabi stated. “NELFUND has paid the full fees of about 96% of the students who applied for the loan. This is impressive.”
She commended the initiative, emphasizing that it would help ease the financial burden on students and allow them to focus on their studies. She further urged other students to apply for the loan to benefit from the scheme in future academic sessions.
