…“She Is My Greatest Joy, I Won’t Trade Her For Anything” – Uduaghan
The Alema of Warri Kingdom, Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, has spoken out regarding allegations involving his wife, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
In a statement titled “Senate Feud”, Uduaghan urged the Senate to respect his wife’s dignity while the courts handle the dispute.
“I initially chose silence, but recent events demand a response,” he said. “My wife was elected by her people due to their trust in her, and she remains committed to serving them.”
Uduaghan described Akpabio as a family friend and revealed that he had personally met with him to address concerns. “I approached the matter with maturity and responsibility. We agreed to an amicable resolution,” he stated. However, he added, “Despite this agreement, my wife still faces harassment.”
Expressing unwavering faith in his wife’s loyalty, Uduaghan declared, “She is my greatest joy, and I would never trade her for anything.”
Meanwhile, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has weighed in on the controversy, urging all parties to prioritise the integrity of the Senate.
“This situation saddens me because of its negative impact on the institution’s image,” Saraki wrote on X. “Everyone associated with the National Assembly must strive to protect its sanctity.”
The unfolding saga raises concerns about the Senate’s reputation as the controversy continues to dominate national discourse.
