KANO, Nigeria – The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has reviewed the progress of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) and NPHCDA Gateway for the first and second quarters of 2025.
The meeting, held at KSCHMA headquarters, gathered top officials to assess achievements, address challenges, and enhance service delivery.
Chaired by SPHCMB Director General, Prof. Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim, the session stressed accountability and collaboration. “To achieve results, SPHCMB, KSCHMA, and partners must work hand in hand,” he said.
Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, reaffirmed transparency and innovation in fund management. “Every naira from the BHCPF must directly translate to improved services for Kano residents,” she stated.
Stakeholders reviewed resource disbursement, facility performance, and service indicators, highlighting improved enrolment of vulnerable groups and better healthcare access in Q1 and Q2.
The session ended with a resolution to intensify collaboration and close gaps to advance universal health coverage in Kano State.
