NPHCDA Trains 126 New Staff to Boost Primary Healthcare

ABUJA, Nigeria – The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has commenced training for 126 newly recruited staff under its Leadership Development Academy (LDA), aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s primary health system.

Speaking at the flag-off in Abuja, Executive Director Dr. Muyi Aina urged participants to embrace continuous self-development. “This programme is designed not just to train you but to prepare you to enhance primary healthcare in Nigeria,” he said.

Aina noted that the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on job creation and healthcare system strengthening.

The LDA, established in 2019, has trained four cohorts and graduated 55 fellows. With the new intake, NPHCDA aims to expand its capacity to provide technical support to states and improve sustainable healthcare delivery nationwide.
