Katsina Gov Radda Leaves Hospital after Escaping Road Accident

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Sunday evening survived a minor road accident along the Daura-Katsina highway while on official duty, the state government has confirmed.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the incident was described as a “minor accident” with no serious injuries recorded.

“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” Mohammed said.

He added that Governor Radda remained “in high spirits” and had since expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah for divine protection.

“The Governor also appreciates the people of Katsina and well-wishers for their prayers and concern,” the statement read.

Africa Health Report, AHR, however gathered from sources close to the state government House that Radda who received medical attention immediately the incident occurred by his personal physicians is sound.

As of the time of filing this report, the governor was said to have resumed official engagements.

The incident sparked concern among residents, but the swift clarification from Government House helped to allay fears.
