Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to advancing technology-based and vocational education through a strategic partnership with the Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB).

Speaking on Thursday during a courtesy visit by the university’s management, led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bala Sidi Aliyu, Governor Namadi described FUTB as “a strategic partner” in his government’s development agenda.

“The relationship between our government and the Federal University of Technology, Babura, is one we hold in high regard,” Namadi said. “The ultimate beneficiaries of the university are our children—the students of Jigawa State.”

He announced ongoing construction of residential houses near the university and pledged to support requests for access roads and vehicles.

Namadi also revealed a N20 billion upgrade for the state’s College of Vocational and Technical Education and the creation of eight Centers of Excellence.

“This is a deliberate investment,” he said, “to ensure every Jigawa youth has access to practical education and opportunity.”
