NECO Releases 2025 BECE Results, Announces Re-sit Dates

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

According to a statement issued by the Council’s Acting Director on information and public relations, Azeez Sanni on Wednesday, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination which was conducted in 12 subjects between 12th and 23rd May, 2025.

The release of the results followed the conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee meeting held at NECO’s headquarters in Minna. Chairing the meeting, the Director of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education, Dr (Mrs) Folake Olatunji David, commended the Council for its efficient handling of the examination and result collation processes.

The meeting was also attended by some secondary school principals from across the country and members of NECO’s management.

The Council also announced that a re-sit examination for Mathematics and English Studies has been scheduled for 23rd and 24th July, 2025.
