The Lagos State Government has officially commenced the 2025 entrance examination process for admission into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for eligible Primary Six pupils will take place from Wednesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 29, 2025, across five designated centres within the state.
Adebayo urged all registered candidates to access the board’s portal—https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng—using their unique usernames and passwords to print their examination slips and confirm their sitting arrangements.
“Candidates are expected to go to the examination venue with the exam slip (printout) and ensure that they arrive at the venue as early as possible,” he emphasized.
Clarifying eligibility, Adebayo stated, “Only Primary Six pupils are eligible to sit for the exam,” stressing that this remains the only route for admission into the government-run institutions.
He added, “The candidates that pass and meet the required cut-off marks will be offered admission into any of the Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools irrespective of his/her First or Second choice.”
