Former students of Nigeria’s 104 Federal Unity Colleges, under the Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSAN) in Lagos, will hold a health walk on Saturday in Surulere.
Tagged “Unity in Motion,” the rally begins at 7:00 a.m. from the National Stadium and will cover a circular route through key roads including Western Avenue, Alaka, and Ogunlana Drive before looping back to the stadium.
The initiative aims to promote wellness, reconnect alumni, and highlight the values of unity instilled by their alma maters.
“It is both a celebration of heritage and a call to national and community wellness,” said Team Lead of USOSANs in Lagos Mr. Chinedu Okoli.
“We are using this opportunity to reconnect and recommit to the ideals of unity and service that our alma maters instilled in us”, he stated.
Participants are encouraged to wear branded T-shirts from USOSA or their individual schools, showcasing the diversity of the colleges while uniting under a shared banner of national cohesion.
The event will feature music, hydration points, and networking opportunities, creating a vibrant atmosphere for participants and well-wishers alike.
Okoli emphasized inclusivity, stating, “We welcome anyone who believes in our vision of national unity and wellness to join us on this symbolic walk. The more diverse the participation, the stronger our message of unity becomes.”
The rally is supported by civic and health partners, reinforcing USOSANs’ commitment to education, wellness, and community development.
