Lagos Police Rescue 2 Kidnap Victims, Launch Manhunt for Abductors

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the rescue of two kidnap victims and launched a manhunt for their abductors.

According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s Public Relations Officer, the victims were abducted on Wednesday at Ijede, in the Ikorodu area of the state. Hundeyin stated, “The command received information that some kidnappers invaded the Ijede community and kidnapped two people.”

Hundeyin explained that upon receiving the report, operatives were mobilized to the scene, where it was discovered that the criminals had forcefully entered the house of a 40-year-old man, killed his dog, and kidnapped him.

The kidnappers also abducted the 25-year-old daughter of a nearby landlord. The police PRO stated that the victims were rescued on Saturday, March 29, by the police and a joint task force.

The Lagos State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers, and Hundeyin assured that the police would do everything possible to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The rescue of the two kidnap victims is a relief to their families and the community, and the police are working to prevent future incidents.
