The Bauchi State Police Command has announced plans to enhance security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations by intensifying visibility patrols across the state.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil, the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers to focus on identified black spots and flashpoints to ensure public safety.
The command warned those intending to disrupt the festivities to reconsider, emphasizing that such individuals should either join the celebrations peacefully, seek rehabilitation through the police, or face legal consequences. Citizens were urged to report any suspicious activities via the Police Rescue Me App or through emergency numbers 08151849417 and 09053872273.
The statement also extended warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of the 1446AH/2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, reaffirming the police’s commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful environment throughout the period.
