Scholarship Offers: Pastor Adeboye Alerts Public on AI-Generated Fraudulent Videos

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has distanced himself from AI-generated videos falsely associating him with drug promotions and scholarship offers.

In a statement on his Facebook page on Wednesday, Adeboye warned the public against falling for the deceptive videos, which have been widely circulated on social media. He clarified that he has no involvement in such promotions and condemned those behind the fraudulent schemes.

“I have been made aware of disturbing AI-generated videos circulating online, falsely advertising certain drugs and scholarships that are intended to deceive and mislead people,” Adeboye stated. “These videos are NOT from me, and I want to make it clear that I have no involvement in such promotions.”

The cleric urged his followers to remain vigilant and refrain from engaging with or sharing the misleading content. He called on social media users to report the fraudulent accounts responsible for the videos to prevent further spread.

According to Adeboye, groups such as “Africa Health Centre” and “Church-Funded Scholarships” are behind the deceptive campaigns. He assured the public that relevant authorities are already taking action against those responsible.

“Let us continue to stay in the truth, walk in love, and remain focused on the genuine work of the Kingdom,” he added.
