The Ajimobi family is mourning the loss of Bisola Kola-Daisi, the first daughter of the late former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
She passed away at the age of 42 in the United Kingdom after a brief illness. Her sudden death on Thursday, March 27, 2025, has sent shockwaves through political and business circles, where she was a well-respected figure.
A trailblazer in Nigeria’s luxury retail sector, Bisola served as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd. and was the founder of Florence H. Luxury boutique.
She also contributed to public service as a special adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu, advocating for economic development and women’s empowerment. Her passing is a great loss to both the business and political communities.
Bisola is survived by her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, a politician and bank executive, and their three children. Mourning her, he described her as “a shining star” whose legacy would live on through their children.
Former aide to her late father, Bolaji Tunji, confirmed her death, as tributes continue to pour in from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who remember her for her generosity, passion, and dedication to her family and work.
