FG Approves PTA Levy Increase for Unity Colleges

The Federal Government has approved an increase in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) levy for Federal Unity Colleges, setting a new maximum of ₦12,000 per student per term.

This decision, conveyed in a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo on Wednesday, follows multiple requests from various PTA bodies seeking a raise to meet their obligations within the colleges.

According to the circular, the revised levy will take effect from the third term of the 2024/2025 academic session. Principals of Federal Unity Colleges have been directed to communicate this development to their respective PTA bodies.
