The body of Yuda Garba, the village head of Dagachi Hamlet in Kaduna State, has been discovered on Tuesday in a bush near Takula, within the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
It would be recall that, Garba was abducted from his residence on March 11, 2025 when gunmen invaded Dagachi Hamlet, attacking the community and taking him along with several others.
His kidnapping sent shockwaves through the area, as residents feared for his safety amid rising insecurity in Kaduna State.
According to intelligence sources, villagers found his remains in the Nomadic Forest near Kuyeri, a location on the border between Kaduna State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Security personnel and community members swiftly responded to the scene, where Garba’s relatives confirmed his identity.
Efforts to locate and rescue the remaining abducted victims are still ongoing, with security forces intensifying operations in the area.
Authorities have assured the public that investigations are underway to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The incident highlights the persistent security challenges in Kaduna State and surrounding areas, where kidnapping and banditry continue to threaten rural communities.
