The Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has cautioned students and the general public against fraudulent online messages falsely claiming that the student loan application portal is open.
According to a statement sent to Africa Health Report (AHR) on Tuesday by the Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, NELFUND disassociated itself from the misleading information and emphasized that the only official platform for student loan applications and updates is www.nelf.gov.ng.
The agency warned against unauthorized links and messages requesting personal details or promising loan disbursement outside its official platform.
“Students and the general public should disregard any unauthorized links or messages requesting personal information or promising loan disbursement outside the official NELFUND platform. For accurate information, always visit our official website and verified social media pages,” the statement read.
